• Join as a YDA Ambassador

Overview:

YDA Ambassadors act as local advocates for policy innovation and public diplomacy, advancing measures in human rights, governance, international affairs and civic engagement within their communities. Upon onboarding, YDA awards each Ambassador a formal title and an official certificate recognising their role within our global network.

Ambassador Responsibilities:

As a YDA Ambassador, you will take an active role in shaping ideas that matter. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and present local or national policy proposals to relevant governmental, municipal, or civic institutions within your city or country.
These proposals may address areas such as foreign policy with any state, governance improvement, human rights, innovation, or institutional reform, any initiative that reflects the values of the Youth Diplomatic Academy. Ambassadors may choose to work individually or in collaboration with like-minded individuals to strengthen their advocacy efforts and enhance their impact.
Once the impact report and related media is presented, the outcomes and experiences from these proposals will be published on YDA’s official website and networks, offering ambassadors professional visibility and an opportunity to highlight their contribution to policy innovation and youth diplomacy.

Note: Selection is merit based; outstanding initiatives may receive additional support from YDA partners.

Benefits:

Selected Ambassadors will receive:
An official title and certificate from the Youth Diplomatic Academy upon induction.
Publication and recognition of documented impact on YDA channels.
Access to an international network of young leaders and practitioners.
Eligibility for selective partial or fully funded travel scholarships to YDA events and exchanges.
Mentorship opportunities and career guidance from practitioners in diplomacy and policy.

Have prior engagement in advocacy, civic initiatives, or interaction with governmental institutions in any capacity.
Be capable and willing to undertake policy advocacy in their local or national context.
